Providing the services and benefits you’ve earned.

Through the CCVSC, you can receive advice and access to the VA benefits you’ve earned. We employ accredited service officers who can assist Veterans and dependents in filing for VA benefits including compensation, pensions, home loans, education, rehabilitation, as well as other benefits available from other state and federal resources.

Financial Assistance

The CCVSC provides emergency funds for the range of the financial needs our Veterans may experience. For example, we can help with funds for food, housing, and utilities for Veterans and their dependents. The Veteran must have been discharged “under honorable conditions” and have an established residence within the county and must show proof of that residence.

VA Healthcare Support

Our goal is to assist our Veterans with enrollment and regular health maintenance through the VA, assuring they receive the highest quality of care regardless of treatment. Veterans can access a comprehensive medical benefits package, which VA administers through an annual patient enrollment system.

The PACT Act and your VA benefits

The PACT Act is a new law (2022) that expands VA health care and benefits for Veterans exposed to burn pits, Agent Orange, and other toxic substances.

The PACT Act adds to the list of health conditions that we assume (or “presume”) are caused by exposure to these substances. This law helps us provide generations of Veterans—and their survivors—with the care and benefits they’ve earned and deserve. The new law expands and extends eligibility for VA health care for Veterans with toxic exposures and Veterans of the Vietnam, Gulf War, and post-9/11 eras. It also adds more presumptive-exposure locations for Agent Orange and radiation, and it requires the VA to provide a toxic exposure screening to every Veteran enrolled in VA health care.
