Simon & Jude Elementary School Elementary Ps 95 The GravesendEvery school year the dance teacher and music teacher are extremely excited to have all kids making different shows. Singing, dances, musical instruments, etc. Unfortunately whoever watched their shows will not see anything. The entire auditorium is flat, the small stage is just about 2-3 feet tall. Once you were sitting, you could hardly see kids’ heads, because the iPhones and tablets were all in front of you. The tallest kids were always placed in the back, as the stage is flat, you won’t see them anyway.Getting upset every time watching shows there, even we were 100% equipped with great cameras, still cannot have 1 single good picture for our kid. Last time I just gave up, I stayed home watching the show. Guess what? The live video was 95% mute when it had sound, there was delay. Speechless! In the end they announced will post a better quality video with sound on the school website, as always they never did. There was never a single school shows video uploaded on the website. Very disappointed with the whole thing. It’s just a waste of time for kids practice, for parents coming, since we cannot see anything at all.The worst school auditorium I’ve ever seen. Hope to leave this school as soon as possible to avoid next torture.
Parent Review 32 Reviews Ps 215 Morris H WeissHorrible school!! DONT REGISTER YOUR CHILD HERE! The staff here are all very rude and disrespectful. Now you would expect the principle to be help but not even she cares. I asked her a question, mind you I spoke kindly, she simply looked at me didn't let me finish, spoke and left, not even excepting my thank you gesture. BULLYING in this school is REAL. They have a no bullying policy but don't follow it. My sibling told me once how she witnessed a girl getting bullied by three girls and none of the teachers did anything. The girl cried in front of a dean and did not help. The principle only respects certain people such as her staff and Caucasian people. I've personally seen them disrespect and talk over every other race. I understand that parents may want their kids to attend activities after school but its the learning that matters (ENGLISH, MATH, SCIENCE, HISTORY) ALL SCHOOLs offer this. PLUS this school has no working ACs and half the teachers are leaving this school leaving the worst teachers there. HAVE A GOOD DAY.
Parent Review 25 Reviews Mirrer Yeshiva Educational InstituteThree Chinese parents (real stories) told me that the school discriminated against Chinese children. Do not trust this school. Their children should be on PK-4, but were arranged to a lower level PK-3. The Principal did not tell these Chinese parents about the class arrangement until they discovered themselves. This school is dishonest and unethical. Be careful and be vigilant. Do not put your baby in this school.
